Illustrated sports event map for the WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Rod Hunt was commissioned by Black Orange Live to illustrate the official sporting event map for the WTA Finals 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The map needed to show the sports arena, practice courts, fan zones, VIP Hospitality Zones and public car parks. Rod worked from the site flat plan schematics, visualisations of the fan zone attractions, interior renders of hospitality in the VIP areas and satellite imagery of the overall neighbourhood to create the detailed map illustration.
The WTA Finals is the season-ending championship of the WTA Tour. It is the most significant tennis event in the women's annual calendar after the four majors, as it features the top eight singles players and top eight doubles teams based on their results throughout the season.
