Rod Hunt was commissioned by Puzzling World to create a bold theme park map printed wall mural that enhances Puzzling World’s Puzzle Centre where guests can sit and play with puzzles, while boosting their brains with some food and drinks. Using the attraction's Great Wooden Maze as inspiration for the illustration it incorporates the attractions's key features including the corner towers, centre courtyard, bridges, leaning tower and tumbling towers making the illustration readily identifiable as being Puzzling World.
Everyone, of all ages, loves a good ‘search and find’ so included are characters and items to be searched for; Stuart Landsborough (founder of Puzzling World), Plasma Globe, ‘Halo’ puzzle, Puzzling World Dummy, ‘Tantrix’ puzzle tile, jandals as well as native New Zealand birds.
Puzzling World is a family owned Tourist Attraction, in the beautiful tourist hotspot of Wanaka, New Zealand, surrounded by the Southern Alps and the stunning Lake Wanaka. Started in 1973 as the world’s first wooden 3D Maze, the business has grown to include a Puzzle Centre, Café, Gift Shop and multiple Illusion Rooms.
